How many buzzwords do you have on your blog? Do you speak normally, or do you have an inpenetrable mass of techno-geekspeak or marketspeak in your posts? Check out Buzzword-O-Meter and check it out.

Just for grins, I ran my page through, and came up with these results:

Buzzosity— 286

Suit— 50

Geek— 284

Compare with InstaPundit:

Buzzosity— 357

Suit— 292

Geek— 304

or IBM:

Buzzosity— 480

Suit— 530

Geek— 211

Buzzosity - 388 (!)

Suit - 125

Geek - 385

That sounds about right.

Meaningless. What does it consider buzzwords? I am NOT that kind of writer, yet I scored a 325/28/326. Couldn't find a hint as to what it considers a buzzword to be. For all we know, "the" is a buzzword.

Yeah, I wondered about that myself. I can understand the "suits" count (looking for words from TQL seminars, similar to the "BS Bingo" thing at Primary Main Objective), but I can't figure out why my "geek" index was so high (yes, I am a geek, but I don't talk like one most of the time).

If I might clarify, the buzzword list is a closely guarded secret - we dont want people faking high buzzosity by using all the buzzwords in our list, but I can assure you "the" is NOT in it.
As for Meryl's assertion "I am NOT that kind of writer", the buzzwordometer never lies.
To help you find out where the geek words are in your blog, here are the internal stats from BWO...

Buzzwords: 28 buzzwords in 4173 (.67%): blog(22) media(2) solution(1) management(1) channel(1)

I hope that helps.
