Fred Phelps, Asshole

Fred Phelps will burn in hell for his perversion of Christianity. He's gone beyond bashing gays (his signature issue) to outight treason.

This is absolutely reprehensible, and utterly inexcusable. I am so mad that I am finding it hard to type.

Phelps has just destroyed any support he might have had in the armed forces; he is actively cheering for the insurgents, and celebrating the death of American soldiers. I'd cheer a terrorist bombing if it destroyed the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, ground zero for religious intolerance here in the United States. Phelps (and all of his worthless followers and scumbag family members) have managed to find a way to unite both the (mostly liberal) gay community and the (mostly conservative) military community (along with the entire thinking community) with his newest jihad, celebrating the deaths of American soldiers (not gay soldiers, just soldiers) who are killed by bombs in Iraq.
