This interesting opinion piece from New York Post columnist Eric Fettman explores and discards the notion that Israel should sit by impassively if Iraq starts lobbing Scuds at them, as they did in 1991. Fettman points out that this is not going to happen; Sharon was adamant in his opposition to Israeli passivity then, and 70 percent of the Israeli citizenry support fighting back at this time.
Read the whole article; it's an interesting piece, frankly stating that Israel's best interests and the United States' best interests are not always congruent.
