CNN reports that eight European governments have issued a joint public declaration of support for the US against Iraq.
The eight countries (most of which are governed by center-right parties) are Spain, Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Great Britain.
Of course, France and Germany are not on the list, which is no surprise, considering their public pronouncements on the subject.
The statement also includes the by now obligatory statement that Iraq must disarm. However, the public support is welcome and appreciated, and might be enough to shut up the cries of "unilateralism" from the lefties in Europe and the US.
